The City of Chattahoochee is accepting applications for an anticipated job opening of Public Works Director. We are seeking a highly responsible individual with a strong work ethic, who will be responsible for administrative work directing the Public Works Departments as well as responsible for the maintenance and care of all city buildings, grounds, parks, right of ways, streets, drainage systems, fleet, equipment and citizen usage of all city facilities. The Public Works Director’s duties are performed under the direction of the City Manager.
Minimum Required Training and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, public administration, construction management, or related discipline; supplemented by five (5) or more years’ experience in a municipal public works setting that includes progressively responsible public works operations, project management, contract administration, budget development, and personnel management; an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience may be considered.
